Happy Mother's day!

I know, I'm late with the Happy Mother's day. But I mean it. I hope all of your mother's day's were nice and relaxing.
Saturday, Ricky stayed home with Chase and I instead of going hunting! Yeah! We didn't really do much though. He finished with the chicken house. He made nesting boxes for them and a perch. It's the Hilton of Chicken Coops now. :) I hadn't slept very well the night before, so I just kinda lazed about all day. We are having some trouble with Chase and his "big-boy bed". He's been waking up in the middle of the night and coming into our bed. He was doing so well and I think the camping really messed him up. Last night he woke up at 2:00 and I had to keep taking him upstairs until around 4:00! And then 15 minutes later Ricky's alarms started going off (he has 3). Hopefully he adjusts again soon.
Sunday morning we barely made it to Church. We were 20 minutes late! I was thinking that my mom would have been mortified with us. We didn't even have a good excuse, we were just kinda not moving fast and not concerned about it at all for some reason. After Church we all went to Dick's sporting goods and got Chase a little hockey net and stick for his birthday. Ricky then proceeded to play with it the rest of the day with or without Chase:)
We had Ricky's family over for dinner last night and it didn't really work out like I had wanted. It was pretty cold so we couldn't eat or play outside and for some reason we decided to make chicken on the grill and it took 3 hours to cook! I guess there was a reason I never did chicken on the grill before. Oh well. It was nice to be with family. Chase and Dominic have so much fun together too.
I got an iced tea maker and tried putting the fresh meadow tea leaves in it and it makes really good tea. I was pretty excited about that 'cause now it will be a lot easier to make tea all summer. One of Chase's new favorite past times is jumping on and off our chair in the living room. He will keep doing it for hours.

I'm sorry about your chicken, it shouldn't have taken 3 hours to grill. Be sure to get some tips from Dad next time you see him.

And Chase is adorable, as usual.
Lots of Love,
MOM
