Sunday we had some visitors in the afternoon. Ricky's parents stopped in for a little and then my sister Christy came with 3 of her kids. Chase was excited to see them and they played out in the sand box for a while. Christy brought me a really good smelling candle. I think it's cafe latte. Yum! In the evening Chad and Sheila came over to see Joanna and Ricky and Chad ended up playing wiffle ball with the neighbors. I thought about joining in but... jk;)
Monday I had wanted to go to the chiropractor in the morning to get Chase, Joanna, and I adjusted, but it didn't work out so we all went in the afternoon instead. My mom went with me and everyone was so excited to meet my mom and Joanna. We didn't stay very long though, I still wasn't feeling that great. Mom and Ricky made us burgers on the grill and caesar salad for dinner. Ricky had taken off on Monday and he and Chase were working around the house all day. They were so cute. Chase loves his Daddy.
Tuesday, we took Joanna to her Dr. and she had gained an ounce! Good girl. My milk came in pretty fast this time so I didn't think she could have lost anything. It seemed like I was waiting forever for my milk with Chase. Mom made us salmon on the grill for dinner and then cleaned up and hit the road so she would be home before dark and not turn into a pumpkin (hehe).
My Grandma Yoder also was able to come and see us Tuesday evening! She lives above Reading about 40 minutes away. She brought me flowers and grandma cookies! She also brought Chase goldfish which he loved and ate a lot of. She made a beautiful crib quilt for Joanna too but I don't have a picture of that yet. We also ate all the cookies before I snapped a picture. Mmmm, they were good. Thanks Grandma!
Wednesday we were on our own in Eberlyville. Pretty uneventful too. I actually ventured outside to take a look at the world. I couldn't believe how big our puppies and our corn got.
We have tomatoes getting red too. Actually we had them on our burgers the other night and they were delicious.
Chase wanted me to take a picture of him but then the sun was in his eyes so he didn't smile.
In the afternoon I took Chase to Patty's house so he could play with Dominic and Joanna and I went to Wally world. I really needed some things. I know I shouldn't have but I had to. Anyway I came back and visited with Patty for a little and then went home and rested a little. Ricky came home around 5:30pm and mowed the lawn while I made some hamburger helper for dinner (healthy, I know). I was so impressed with myself though because I was able to nurse Joanna in her wrap while I made dinner. I was never able to do that with Chase. I got this sleepy wrap a few months ago and was so excited to be able to use it. It's so cozy.
I have an appointment at the birth center this afternoon and Ricky's mom is going to go with me and help with the kids. Ricky has a long weekend and I'm glad he will be home to help me. Joanna's cord is hanging on by a thread. Should I take it off?
I think that's the news for now. She is breastfeeding so well. I am a lot less sore now too so it's getting better for me too. I'm so thankful that it's going well.

I love your blogs. About Joanna's cord. I wouldn't take it off. It will come off on its own soon. I showed the girls at the office my blog with me holding Joanna. They thought she looked so cute. I also showed them some of your pics on your blog. I put all the blogs on my Favorites at work, just like at home here. I'm "hooked" on blogs! Love ya, Grandma
Alex is fascinated by the belly button picture. I explained it to him- I dont think he really cared too much- he just likes the picture :)
I'm glad you got one of those wraps! I definitely could have used one when Danica was smaller... though carrying her and her monitor around got pretty heavy. Would have been good for her though.
Chase looks so big! Do you know how tall he is?
She looks so pretty in pink! I'm glad you are able to be a real person again. But dont rush it too much- the more you do now, the longer it will take to recover :)
I would love to get together with you guys while we are home in August... I cant believe it's been over a year since I've seen you!
grandma's right about the belly cord. you are doing great, what with getting up and around. i was one of those who was up right away too. i think i rushed it a little with joel though. he was 10 days late, born on a thurs, i came home on a sat. and was in church on sunday. grandma said if i could do that she was gonna go home, and she did! actually i think it's good to get some exercise. good for you.
i agree with grandma, i'm hooked on the blogs. i love this contact. see ya.
