Our Weekend

I figured I should post tonight because I have a pretty busy week planned and don't thing I will be able to get on the computer much.
Yesterday I did much better and was not lazy at all. Ricky and I got a lot of work done around the house. In the morning I cleaned the whole house, it still looks pretty good too. In the afternoon Ricky and I worked on raking leaves and pulling some weeds. We also clipped the Chickens wings finally. They have been flying out of their pen for a while now. I didn't really mind them getting out because they could go back in by themselves or be herded back in pretty easily, however they've been pooping all over and that's not cool, so snip snip we went. We laughed so hard when one tried to fly out after we clipped it and it flew right into the fence and squawked really loud. That's so mean (but still pretty funny).
Today was a nice relaxing day. We went to church in the morning and then came home and I was able to nap for a couple hours! Not uninterrupted, but I felt very refreshed when I got up. While we were napping Ricky went to his parent's to shoot his bow and he got home right as we were getting up so we went on a hike together. Ricky doesn't really like going hiking unless it's to scout for a hunting spot or hang a tree stand so I always enjoy when he agrees to go with me. I just pulled this coat out of the closet for Chase. Patty(Ricky's sister) gave it to him, it used to be Dominic's and is still is a little big but Chase loves it.

Ricky picked up a hiking stick so of course Chase had to get one too.

Joanna liked the walk too and was awake the whole time. When I took these pictures I thought her eyes looked so blue.

We were gone about an hour and then came home and had coffee (decaf) and Cinnamon rolls (yum!). I had to make another list for myself for this week. I've been so busy trying to rake all the leaves and clean up the garden and flower beds for winter. I doubt I will finish this week but it would be nice. I love how cold its been, it's beautiful. I am in need of some warm clothes for the kids though. I was thinking of checking out the local thrift store. I pulled out some clothes for Chase from last year that I think will fit for a little longer.
*** Add on: Joanna rolled over from back to front this morning.***

What a lovely family you have! Chase is so cute in his big boy coat and Joanna is adorable peeking up out of her Ergo. That was good of Ricky to go hiking with you all - it was a beautiful day for it.

Love,
Mom

Joanna just looks so comfy all snuggled up against you. And your hair looks cute like that... I'm going for a new do in a few months and I'm kind of thinking about something like that.
We are going to hit up a bunch of thrift stores to get a bunch of stuff for the kids in the next week or so. The one in our town is not so great, but we live near some richer towns that have nicer things in them. So hopefully we'll be able to find what we need for cheap- they grow out of everything so fast!

That looked like a great place to hike, but where could you find that place? It must not be too far from your house. Joanna looks so cute with her blue eyes. She might look like you. Chase definitely looks like Ricky. You might like it cold, but I like it warm enough to go barefoot. Love your blogs.
