Thursday morning Patty called me to see if Dominic could get off the bus at my house in the afternoon. Apparently she had to interpret at a funeral all day and it sounded like into the night, so of course I said it was fine and told her that if Dexter wanted to come for dinner he would be welcome. So we all ate together around 6:00pm. I made chicken quesadilla's (which turned out quite yummy) and baked potatoes. Then Ricky's dad came over to get Dominic since Dexter had to go to Reading but just ended up staying till Patty got here. But that was a fun evening, however the afternoon was a different story. It was really cold that day and Dominic and Chase were definitely acting cooped up. They just followed me around and argued over toys and took toys from Joanna, I was getting so annoyed and wished I could just send them outside. I should have thought of some crafts that they could do but I don't have many supplies for things like that and usually they come up with things for themselves to do very nicely. I guess next time I'll have to be more prepared, I didn't want to give in and let them watch a movie though.
Friday, I went over my friend's house for lunch. They just moved into a new house and I hadn't seen it yet. She has a boy who is 4 and a girl who is Chase's age so they had fun playing together. We are planning on running the Terre Hill 5 mile race together in July so we had fun planning our training strategy for that. I left around 2:00pm I think and went home and took naps. In the evening after dinner Ricky and I(and the kids) all went to get groceries. When we got back Chad and Sheila came over and we had coffee and ice cream and conversation with them. they only stayed till 9:00 but it's always nice to have them over for a visit.
Saturday morning Ricky had to go get his tree stand so I took the kids over to his parent's while I went for a run. I upped my mileage from 1.2 to 2 miles. I was pretty proud of myself. Genny does not like jogging though. I don't know what her problem is, I was dragging her most of the way. I was almost at the end of the 2 miles when she pretty much gave up and I had to leave her, run out the lap, and then walk back to get her. It's really strange, I hope she gets used to it soon. In the afternoon Ricky went over to help Chad with a project that he is working on and I went over later with the kids to have pizza with everyone. We stayed there watching them work till bed time.
I don't think we did a whole lot yesterday, just took it easy I guess. This picture is of Ricky pulling the kids around.
I would have taken a video but my battery was too low. Chase has been continuing to do well with eating. We actually haven't had an argument about it all week. I think he was definitely not feeling well for a while because he is now talking our ears off as well. He seems a lot more like his pleasant self lately, so that is nice. I have a lot of things I need to do today, mostly laundry and cleaning, my two favorite things.
