If you could see me right now, I'm doing the "I-told-you-so" dance. :) I took Joanna to the allergist this morning for her 3 hour appointment which turned out to be only an hour and a half (phew). It went pretty well, I think we are on the way to figuring out the problem, she's allergic to milk, peanuts and egg whites. The three things that I had said, hmmm., maybe I do know how to be a good mommy, thanks for nothing Dr. M. Ok, somebody stop me. He also said that it is possible that she has reflux, which is another thing I had been thinking of. So we're getting there I think. They gave me lists of different names that milk, peanuts and eggs go by on food labels, yikes! Talk about overwhelming, eggs have like 20 different names as does milk, food shopping is going to be a slow process for a little while. I think I'm still going to try and keep avoiding sugar and other stimulants for a little while. I have to take her to get blood drawn in the next couple days so hopefully that goes ok, but the skin prick test went really well, she didn't even cry at all. I was imagining something a lot worse than what it was.
On another exciting note, I finally met my goal weight and fit into my "skinny" jeans this morning (I guess that's what happens when you can't eat bread, dairy or sugar). So it only took me 11 months and 3 weeks but I lost all the baby weight in under a year:) Oh and I keep forgetting to mention that Joanna is walking. Crawling is still faster but she's starting to practice walking more and more and getting better at it. We're all going to watch Ricky play baseball again tonight so that should be fun.
Thanks you all for your thoughts and prayers.

Yay! I'm so happy for y'all that you're getting some answers confirmed! And congrats on meeting your weight goal! What a good day :)
Yay! Answers are so nice, aren't they? Her reflux will probably get better as her triggers get out of her system, too. Did he tell you that? And some of the cheaper store-bought breads are dairy/egg free, too.
And also- yay for skinny jeans! Congrats on that! Have a great weekend!!
Hurrah for Joanna being able to walk! You are losing your baby!! I'm glad you are finding the cause of her allergies. As I remember Karl had allergies with cheese. He always liked cheese and sometimes as he grew older, he thought the tummy ache was worth being able to eat cheese. I think a mother knowing best is on par with us knowing our own bodies and not always taking what the doctors say as "gospel truth". Grandma
