Grace the giraffe
My little one-year-old Heffalump.
Also I had asked Sheila if she would do face painting for the kids cause I had found some face painting crayons that looked like fun. She did a really nice job and the kids really liked it.
Dominic was a zebra
Isn't Chase the cutest little tiger you ever saw?
I didn't get a really good picture of the cake that I made but it was a bunch of cupcakes all together with animals on top. Patty had found me a recipe that I could eat too and I was so excited, chocolate cupcakes with no egg or dairy!

Ricky's dad had made his famous BBQ chicken for us and it was so good. After we ate, Patty had gotten a pinata for the kids.
That was a lot of fun, everybody got to have a few whacks at it. It ended up being really hard to break open so I took the bat and whacked it open. All the guys played wiffleball while we did some kid games.
I think it's so funny that every time we have people over Ricky starts up a game of wiffle ball:) I love that we have the room for it. We all went over and opened gifts with Joanna and Chase then. I had to help Joanna of course.
It was such a fun day. I didn't feel that stressed about it either. I don't think I will do a big party like this every year but I sure enjoyed myself:) It was Father's day too.
Joanna has been sleeping so much more peacefully at night since we've started her reflux medicine. It is such a relief to me but I still can't sleep, apparently my body doesn't think I deserve more than 4 hours of sleep a night anymore!
Monday, I went to work in the morning. I'm going to be working 3 mornings a week now until they are able to hire someone, I took the kiddos with me though. Monday afternoon, I cut all the cauliflower and broccoli in the garden and blanched that and froze it with carrots for a nice veggie mix. I also had a ton of cleaning and laundry to catch up on.
Today I went and cut all the cabbage and made a batch of coleslaw and two batches of sauerkraut. It took most of the day for me to do it because I had to run and get stuff and feed babies, puppies, chickens, etc. It felt good to get it done though.
sauerkraut fermenting on the sill.
Ricky had to go to the hospital tonight to visit his Grandpa. He recently suffered another stroke and has taken a turn for the worse, and they decided to stop his dialysis, so he doesn't have much longer. Pray that he will be able to go peacefully.
I have to go to work again tomorrow morning and then to get Jo a blood test, yikes!

Hurrah for you with your saurkraut and veggies you are doing. I am so proud of you as a homemaker. I agree your party was great and after all the rain, it was so nice outside. Thanks again for inviting me. Grandma

Amy, you look great. Congrats on working hard and getting into your skinny jeans. Happy Birthday to all!
Looks like a great birthday party. I can't believe Joanna is already 1 year old. The year has gone by so fast. It's been fun watching both Chase and Joanna grow up on your blog.
