Voting Polls Now Open

So I know I haven't updated in a while but I've been super busy lately. Friday I took Joanna to a new doctor that I had heard about and long story short it did not go so well. I'm not going to get into the whole thing here but lets just say that the doctor was not very nice and made me feel pretty bad. But don't worry, after many talks with my mom and sisters and the la leche leader again I feel much better and am still pretty convinced that the issue with her is food allergies. The sleeping might be going a little bit better, she's not waking up screaming like she was but still waking up every 3 hours or so. The la leche leader said it would take a couple months though so I'll just keep plugging away. In the meantime, I've lost 4 pounds in the last couple weeks! That brings me 4 pounds away from my 15 pound weight-loss goal. so I'm getting there. Friday evening i took the kids to watch Ricky play baseball.
Saturday, I drove down to NJ with Joanna for my sister's baby shower. It was a really fun day. There were over 70 people at the shower! It was crazy. It took Dawn over an hour to open all the gifts.
Joanna did so well the whole time and slept the whole ride down there and the whole ride back. I got home around 6:00pm.
Sunday evening we had some friends over for dinner. Actually, one of the guys I went to school in Wisconsin with moved in down the street from us. So we had them over, they have two kids around Chase and Joanna's ages. Chase had a blast playing with Lily too. We roasted smore's around our fire pit again for dessert.
Our washing machine is broken so Monday morning I piled all our dirty laundry into my car and took it to the laundromat down the road. After I dropped the laundry off and got it started I took the kids to Ricky's mom's and went for a run and by the time I was done and picked the kids up my laundry was done, so it wasn't that bad and it worked out pretty well. I do hope my washing machine gets fixed soon though (hint, hint, Ricky).
I decided to re-paint my kitchen cabinets and have been working on that the last couple of days. I had used the wrong kind of paint when I did it before so I decided to just re-do it the right way. So far I've done all the upper ones and hung them all back up.
This morning I went with the kids to Dominic's school to listen to him recite a poem and sing some songs with his class. Tomorrow is his last day of first grade already. Chase always enjoys going to see Dominic at his school.
Joanna was so cute in a new little dress that her Aunt Patty gave her today that I decided to take her one-year pictures. She was such a good model and I can't decide which picture to choose. So tell me which one is your favorite?

That was tough. I kept going back and forth, 2 or 4, 4 or 2. I was beginning to feel like I was at the eye dr. Anyhow, I'm voting for 2.
You're soon gonna be all skinny mini! We'll be waiting for your close up! :)

Oh, Amy, she is beautiful! I love the color of her hair and her eyes! I really like #1 but #2 is a front shot. It's a toss up for me!

Am I allowed to post comments yet?
She is a cutie! I understand how it's so hard to pick! I think #4, but 2 is a VERY close second. She is just beautiful, Am.
Didn't I tell ya you would start dropping the weight when you started cutting things out? I hope your appointment with the allergist is less frustrating. Though it is their job to be on your side and figure these things out. Ours was totally supportive of me still breastfeeding (as long as I was willing to cut everything from my diet too).
Looks like Dawn is going to have a lot of thank-you cards to write! I'm glad she was able to get so much for her little bundle of fun :)

since you threatened me, I will vote, either 2 or 4. I would tend to number 4. Very nice job!

Ok- I guess I can leave anonymous comments... I just gotta remember to sign them now.... <3 Deb

Haha- I knew it was you Debbers:) I'm leaning towards number 4 too I think, Ricky says he likes number 6. I hope the allergist is more helpful, I was debating whether I should keep my appointment or not but I think it will be helpful to go, if only to know that I'm not crazy, ya know.

I just showed all the pictures to Alex and he really likes #2. You know- if the vote of a 4 year old counts :)
I would keep the appointment. If you cancel and then change your mind, it will take a while to get back in again. Plus it's always good to know how bad things really are, and if there is something that you are not thinking of that is bothering her still. Like we figured out for half of Danica's list. I dont understand why regular doctors are in such denial about allergies... It's a growing epidemic these days!... <3 Deb

I'm a lurker and haven't commented yet, but I figured I would this time because I LOVE photography/photos/anything to do with cameras! At first I was going to say #2, but after looking at them full size, I like #4 (her eyes are clearer in that one). She's so adorable and I love those big blue eyes :) Katy Geesaman (cousin Daniel's wife)

Amy. I like them all, but if Katy says #4 (she is a pro with her camera) then she must have seen things that some of the rest of us didn't. I wanted to vote for them all! She is such a doll, but then look who her mommy is! See you soon, Grandma

Hey thought I'd write again because I loved #4 so much that I figured I would save it and photoshop it (one of my favorite hobbies) Didn't know if you'd be interested in it or not.:)
