puppies and a popping noise

I know I haven't updated in a while again but I'm not going to have a really long one this time. I've been super busy still. last week on Tuesday my parent's came up to help me give the puppies their shots. My dad does such a good job at so I asked him to help me again. Wednesday morning I went to work again in the morning and then in the late afternoon My sister and her family came to pick up her puppy. They hadn't told the kids that they were getting her so it was fun to see them run after the puppies and beg for one all evening and then when they were getting ready to leave Christy told Grace to go get her puppy. They were so excited and it sounds like they are loving her up.

So now that the puppy is gone I moved Mishti inside again and have been loving my little companion.

She just sits on my lap all night. Although now I just took Penny to get bred so Blondies in the house now too since I felt bad for her outside all by herself.

So Thursday night Ricky went to go play baseball and called me shortly after the game started and asked me to come and get him because he had hurt his knee. He was playing first base and stretched out try and get the out and heard a popping noise in his knee and then just keeled over in pain. So I drove for a while to get him and took him home. The next day he was still in a lot of pain so we went to the doctor and they sent him for an MRI (oh this was all after I had gone to the allergist with Jo). After they got the MRI results back they called us and said that he should absolutely not put any weight on his leg and use crutches.

He also wanted us to see an Orthopedist but since it was Friday evening we had to wait until Monday morning to get an appointment.

So we didn't do a whole lot this weekend although I felt like I was running around a lot and I got a lot of work done out in the garden and mowed the lawn. Yesterday morning I went to work again and hopefully it's not for too much longer since they just hired 2 new ladies and they started yesterday. In the afternoon we dropped the kids off at Ricky's parents house and drove down to Lancaster to see the Orthopedist. Ricky was feeling better by then and walking pretty well and it turned out that the Dr. misread and exaggerated the MRI's so he doesn't need surgery which is good news. He has a tear in his one tendon, or really bad tendinitis as the orthopedist said. He has to go to Physical Therapy 3 times a week for 4 weeks and then we'll go back to the Dr. for a re-evaluation. And he doesn't need the crutches after all. Our appointment wasn't that long and since the kids where at the sitter's we decided to go out to eat. We were almost giddy to be out by ourselves.

So that's about it for now. Last I heard my sister Dawn was at 10Cm's so I'll have a baby update soon :) I'm so excited!
