Sales and Celebrations

A couple weeks ago the house across the street from us went for auction. We had wanted Ricky's parents to buy it since it was a nice small rancher but they decided it would be too much work or whatever. Anyway, the house only went for $187,000 (we were hoping it would go for over $200,000 so our house would be worth more) and surprise, surprise, Ricky's Aunt bought it! So that means there are 7 Eberly families living in our little town! We're taking over :)

Ricky and I finally fixed our Paypal account and I've been slowly sorting through our things to sell on Ebay. I sold that Norpro Food Strainer for almost as much as I paid for it. Another thing I'm excited about selling was a printer dock that we had for our old camera. I was just going to throw it away and then decided on a whim to see if I could get some money for it. Well it ended up going for almost $60! I'm still pretty thrilled about that. I'm also trying to sell all of my FIRM VHS tapes but there are no takers on those.
Patty recently got the kids a huge back of winter cloths! They are so cute too. Here's Joanna in one of her new outfits.
She had the sunglasses before but I had to include that one cause she likes wearing them all around the house and making me laugh.
So a few days ago I decided to rearrange things in our house again. I moved Jo's crib into the living room because I thought she would sleep better out there without Ricky's alarms and snoring ;) well it helped a little bit and she actually slept through the night one night! From 9:00 to 6:30 without waking up once! so I baked a cake to celebrate...

The next few nights she had some trouble waking up when Ricky was getting ready for work so I decided to finally move her upstairs into Chase's room. They were eventually going to be sharing a room together but I was putting it off until she slept through the night regularly so I wouldn't have to trudge up the stairs in the middle of the night. I thought she would sleep better up there though so I just moved her. Well the first night was really horrible, she woke up every hour and I was pretty exhausted yesterday. last night was much better though and she only woke up one time and she didn't wake up when Ricky left for work and slept in till 7:30 this morning (that's a lot of "ands). So I think it was a good move. Also, she is almost done nursing. she now only nurses one time a day! In the evening before bed, I don't know how much longer I'll have milk only nursing once a day so she'll probably be done with that soon.
last Sunday I decided on the spur of the moment to drive down to my parents house. I decided a little late in the morning and didn't make it in time for church so I went straight to their house. I got there around 11:45am and the house was all locked up so I waited in the car in the driveway(it was raining) for over an hour! I had to go to the bathroom so bad and finally my cousin came out and let me in the house. My parents got home at 1:10 and were very surprised to see me. so we had lunch, the traditional Sunday lunch of omelets and waffles, and then the kids played and we got to talk a little bit. Of course Grammy had to read to the kids.
Actually, the real reason I drove down was so the dogs could get their shots. they were very happy about it too, haha.
Dawn was there with Kira too. Kira is getting so big and very alert. It was good to see them again. I love my family!
I only stayed a couple hours and made it back home in time to watch the eagle lose. I like this picture of the kids messing with Ricky.
So we're finally getting some sun this week and I've been working at fixing up the garden, I've finished weeding the strawberries and that won't have to be done again until the spring. Now I just need to take care of the rest of it :P
Ricky's sister, Patty, gave us a scare last night and had to go to the ER. It turns out she has Bell's Palsy which I guess isn't as bad as it seems but we were all pretty worried about her.

Yay cake! I'm thinking that I need to start baking them for more little celebrations. Sleeping all night definitely deserves cake!
I wish I could talk Jesse into selling things on ebay. I always tell him he needs to... maybe if I tell him about all the success you've been having he'll feel inspired to give it a try. Is it kind of addictive? 'Cause I might be okay with that!
