Last Saturday Ricky and I took the kids and His Dad to a pretty big petting zoo at the convention center in Lancaster. We had free tickets for the kids but it was still $30 to get in, not including paying for parking and tickets for rides, yikes! But it was a lot of fun too. There were two elephants and a camel for people to ride but the line for the ride was so long that we just watched other people. It was actually pretty cool though because the elephants would walk around in a big circle and come very close to where we were standing. I felt like we could reach out and pet it if we wanted to. I think you all know how much I love elephants, so I was doubly thrilled:)
It was kind of strange that this whole thing was at the convention center because it is also a hotel and as soon as we walked in the doors of the hotel you could smell animals, gross. Can you imagine being a guest there when a circus was there? We had a lot of fun though. There were rides and lots of animals to look at and feed and pet.

Chase and Joanna were able to get their first pony rides together! Chase was able to hold on by himself and of course I was sooo proud of him.
There were lots of animals to look at but THIS one was our favorite by far. If we had more acreage we would most definitely get one.
Tuesday I went to my sister's house to hang out with my family for the day. We always have a great time when we get together. We were celebrating 4 birthdays! "Baby" Asher, Christy, Dawn and Mom. All the kids were so excited to see "Grammy" and "Pop-pop" and they got swarmed by 7 kids when they walked in the door. Mom said she almost fell over from all the hugs! Of course Pop-pop had to rile all the kids up and wrestle with them...

We had wraps for lunch and Carrot cake and conversation for dessert. I got home around 3:00 in the afternoon so it wasn't too long of a day.
Wednesday morning we woke up to snow! It was so pretty, and now we're supposed to get a bunch more! Yeah :)
Well I think that's the news for now, I know I'm forgetting something but oh well.

SNOW!! I braved my way out the driveway to get my newspaper- it wasn't there. I thought I was going to fall several times- it was so deep. The snow is as high as the milk can that holds my mail box. I'm sure you all enjoyed the animals. The pics of the kids were cute. I haven't taken my camera outside yet, but probably will later.

That's cool that you got to see an elephant. I heard there aren't any at the Philly Zoo right now. Yet you had one right near you. Go figure!
