After 4 failed attempts I finally figured out how to make my blog header look special... hope you like it :)
I should be out weeding the garden right now but the task seems rather daunting to me so I'm hiding out inside, hoping it will take care of itself. Ricky and I are debating whether to have the garden next year or not. Every year I think, "Oh, next year will be easier." But it never is :( We have so many roadside stands around us I don't think we would miss it too much, it's pretty easy to get really good homegrown produce around here. I'm also looking into maybe getting a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) for next year but need to do some more research about it first.
I think I will paint my wall today though. I'm so thankful for the "cooler" weather. It makes me feel much better.
Sunday, we decided to drive up to our favorite store, Cabela's :) They were having dog seminars all weekend and there were lots of dogs wandering around the store which made us very happy. There were 3 of these Great Danes in the front of the store and I really liked this one that looked like a cow.
I would've taken him home with us but I think we probably have enough dogs... and can you imagine having to clean up after a 145lb dog! Yikes!
We walked around the store for about an hour before heading home.

Ben loved going to Cabela's too! They have so many neat displays!!
Every time you say you were at Cabela's, I think, as close as you were and you didn't even stop in to see me!! Naughty, naughty! Did you buy those coon skin hats for the kids?
I've been busy, too. Every year I think this might be the last year I do jams and jellies to give away, but so far I keep doing it. I made peach this week. That makes six different "flavors" for this year. Talk later. Grandma
Last time we were up there we did stop to see you and you weren't there... we just figured you were out partying again :P
