a few weeks ago my dad was very sick and in the hospital so we went down to visit him and try to bring him some cheer. We didn't stay very long because he really wasn't doing good and I didn't want to overwhelm him.

He is doing much better now, thank God, and is even starting to get back into biking.
Two weekends ago Ricky got a mini excavator and little dump truck from work and fixed the spot where the old bard had been and behind the garage and then made a pad for the new shed (which is ordered and due for arrival in a couple weeks, so excited!). where the old barn was, the new grass has come up very nicely already:
Behind the garage, it was such a mess back there:
Joanna wasn't really that happy about being in the excavator :P
Where the new shed will go:
I will be so excited if I actually get to park my van in the garage finally :P
That Sunday we took the kids fishing right after church. Everyone had a lot of fun.
Chase caught a big one by himself.
and I caught one with Joanna's Barbie pole :P
Ricky smoked them on the grill for us and they were delicious! That evening we went over to our friends' house for dinner and to discuss what all we are going to do for meals for our upcoming camping trip.
They have this awesome tire swing which the kids love.
It was pretty hot but we sat outside anyway... away from the campfire that they made for the kids to roast marshmallows.
Here are some obligatory puppy pictures:
aren't they cute?!
and some of the Labradoodles:
These two are sold now:
this yellow female was our favorite and we almost kept her... she's sold now:
Two Tuesday's ago, my Parents and sisters came up so my dad could give the puppies their shots and so the cousins could all play with one another. It turned out to be a beautiful day and the kids had such a blast playing with each other. I was thankful for the lovely weather, we got to eat outside and us big people were able to actually hear each other talking since the kids were occupying each other :)
Kira loved the trampoline.
Well, all the kids loved it.

Last Thursday I met some friends at Longs park for a little day out with the kids. It's a really nice park with several different play areas, we met at the biggest one and the kids played for a little bit.We all ate lunch at some picnic tables under big trees and then walked over to a petting farm that was there. They had animals just roaming around where we were walking and a Llama started coming after me at one point. We think that it probably thought my hair was hay to eat :P
We sat around and talked for a little and then headed for home.
Aaaand, more puppies:
They love digging in the dirt next to my patio.
Doesn't she look happy?:
They sure are cute :)
Well, I guess that's it for now. I have to share this funny collage I made of Katy:
She's too funny. I may or may not have considered putting her on the chair to see if she will sleep through the night :P Oh and today was her 10 month birthday. Happy 10 months baby Katy!
