It turned out pretty good but I wasn't really happy with the whole cape thing, it kept shifting on her.
So I looked around for a different pattern and found this one that I made for Sanka:
The pocket I made up on my ownThat one turned out pretty well too but I was still not really happy with how the front leg hole was so I tweaked the pattern myself and came up with a pattern on my own that I think works really well.
I made these two sweaters with my new "pattern" for a friend of mine who has two Boston Terriers, a male and a female. I'm meeting up with her today and can't wait to see pictures of her dogs in them :)
you can't really tell in the pictures but the collar is like a turtleneck.and this one is for the boy... I made this bow tie free hand and was pretty proud of myself!
I was going to make some "pens and pencils" to go in the pocket but thought that might be going overboard, haha :P
I also made a new sweater for Blondie but she is too pregnant to wear it right now. Plus I have no idea when she is due and don't want her to give birth with it on.
I'm super organized with my crochet this time too, no more big bags of yarn to sort through :)
and my to-go bag:
If you can't read the title of the pattern book in that bag it's Easy Crochet Animals, by Vanna White. It's what got me started on this whole kick in the first place. A friend of mine was making these little animals and I decided I wanted to get the book and make all the animals too. So far I've done two of the penguins:
A Monkey:
and a giraffe:
only 7 more to make until I've made the whole zoo :)
I had made one elephant and one alligator too but they were my very first ones and didn't turn out very good.

Very cute! I love the penguin.
I need to get the dogs in their sweaters and take pics - I'll totally let you know when I do, and I'll post them to my blog! ;)
