Parks and Recreation

We got our projects back from Pottery works!  They turned out so cute.  I was really happy with that outing that we had.  Pottery works even put these in cute little gift bags with the kids' names on them.
Joanna LOVES her unicorn that she made and was taking it everywhere with her for a while.  The tail broke off of Chase's stegosaurus already but Ricky glued it back on.  And Katy's elephant is too cute to play with so it's cheering up my kitchen window sill :)
Chase lost his very first tooth last weekend!  It was really loose for a while and it looked about ready to fall out any minute.  Well, Ricky somehow convinced Chase to pull it out on his own and he did, in the van on the way to NJ Saturday!  So we had a visit from the tooth fairy Saturday night.  Chase got a dollar and a note that said "thanks for the tooth".  But he's pretty sure he knows who left it.  The one that was next to it is pretty loose now too.
Monday I had told the kids in the morning that we could go on a hike at French creek but then we ran out of time and Ricky got home early from work so we settled for a trip to the local park that we don't usually go to.  They had a lot of fun there.
Katy was really in to this slide.... she would crawl up, slide down, crawl up, slide down, rinse and repeat.
This might be one of my favorite pictures of all time:
Slides, slides and more slides!
don't you love Chase's camo shirt and camo pants combo?  He's so stylish.
this "rock" structure made me nervous.  Why is there no railing or anything on the sides?  Eek.
oh and we had taken Bolt with us too.  She's cute:

Tuesday I met up with my friend Rebecca at another park in the area that we hadn't been to in a long time.  She has a daughter Katy's age and I had crocheted this little ladybug clutch for her:
pretty cute, right?!

It was a lovely day on Tuesday and the kids really enjoyed this park as well.  It was a nice one!
Baby Judith... not looking too impressed :P
We had Bolt along again:
I got wrapped up with talking to Becca and all of a sudden looked over to see Katy in this swing.  I have no idea how she got up there!
We ate lunch and then walked around the park a little.  It was a neat place with old stone buildings and a covered bridge.  None of the buildings were open though so we didn't know what the place was all about.
They had a little Peace Garden behind this one building with a lot of interesting plants.  Chase spotted this neat Caterpillar:
Walking across the covered bridge:
we walked back to the playground and let the kids run around some more before it was time to leave.  Judith really loved Bolt.
smiling at her mommy:
giving hugs:
It was a lot of fun to see Becca and Judith again, hopefully we'll be able to do it again soon :)

Joanna sure can look cute when she wants to! And Katy's hair on the slides - very funny.
