Crafting like Crazy

So I recently discovered Pinterest... or rediscovered it I guess.  I had an account on there for a while but never looked at it or really got what the big deal was.  Recently my sisters and my friend Ronda had been talking about it a lot and so I decided to explore it a bit more and found some amazing things!  There are so many neat ideas on there and I want to make ALL the things!
I found this youtube tutorial for crocheted princess tiaras.  The video is actually pretty annoying because the lady has really long nails and goes into way too much detail, but if you can get through all that you end up with a really cute tiara at the end!
Joanna loves them!  She said she wanted a whole collection of them so I made her a purple one as well.  She wore one almost the whole time we were camping.
I made one for Katy as well:
And what do princesses do?  Have tea parties of course!  Joanna loves this tea set that she got from her Grammy for her birthday and takes very good care of it!  She is always sure to put it away exactly how it was and keep it away from Katy because, "she might break it."  I actually convinced her this once to let Katy have a tea party with her though.
Waiting patiently for some tea:
Must have been good :)
I also crocheted a bunch on our camping trip.  I made a few of the tiaras, one more for Joanna and one more for Katy and one for a friend.  I also made a dog sweater to send to someone and this little purse for Joanna that I made up the pattern for.
I think it looks adorable and it's perfect for holding all sorts of little girl essentials :)
I also made this headband for myself on the way home:
I was really easy actually, you take one color, chain a really long line and then switch colors and slip stitch your way all the way back.  Then I just wrapped it around my head 3 times and tied it.

I also found this really cute, easy pattern for little crocheted monsters.  I made a couple for my kids to practice.
I think she liked it :P
And now I've started working on some as a gift for someone.  I want to make 10 different ones and number the backs of them.  I'm having a fun time personalizing all of them!
That's just a sneak peak, after I ship them and the person receives them I'll do a detailed post about them.  I've made 7 of the 10 so far and they go pretty quickly so it shouldn't take me too much longer :)  They are looking awesome and my kids are so jealous they don't get to keep them all :P

I also, somehow conned Ricky into helping me with completing a pinterest project!  I had been wanting hanging lanterns in our Japanese Maple over the patio but looking around at them I realized they are pretty expensive to buy, but then I found this tutorial on how to make your own and I love how they turned out!
They're solar lights.
you should have seen me climbing up in the tree to hang them :P
Stay tuned to see what's next :P
