Overdue Update

I've had the pictures for this post uploaded for a while now but haven't gotten around to writing anything until now.  I seem to do that a lot.  I was really sick all last week though so I'm going to use that as an excuse.  A couple weeks ago my friend Ronda and I went to the National Watch and Clock museum.  It was... um, interesting.  We had free tickets so whatever.  I actually did find it interesting but I think our boys needed to be older for sure.
The Engle clock, made in Hazelton, PA and considered the"8th wonder of the world".  I don't think I would say that but it was neat.  We got to see it in action too.
The clock comes apart in 4 pieces and they used to take it around and charge people .25 to see it.
These clocks were interesting.  One eyeball tells you the hour and one eyeball tells you the minute and you are supposed to be able to tell what time it is by where the eyeballs are!  I don't think I would be able to get used to that!
Chase found a Batman clock:
the was the inside of the clock tower.  Very pretty ombre paint effect.
I got this little music box toy for Katy there and she loves it.  you just turn the handle and it plays a tune.  She was obsessed with it for days and would even sleep with it!
a couple weeks ago, at the end of March we got a pretty nice snow fall.
We hadn't gotten much snow this year so I was very excited about it.  Apparently Katy loves snow too!
Throwing a snowball at me:
eating snow:
I shoveled the driveway even though it probably didn't need it.  Katy stayed out with me the whole time and then when I was done I said, "OK Katy, lets go back inside now." and she said, "no mommy, it's snowing!"
Ricky had off from the snow and we all were able to go over to Keith and Ronda's in the afternoon and go sledding and build a snowman.

This was our first attempt at a snowman
and after it all fell over:
2nd snowman turned out much better:
pretty much all the snow was gone by the next day and I was sick as well.  Fever and chills and achy and my head hurt like crazy.  I guess a lot of people had this illness but I'm pretty sure I got it from Ricky, he's good at sharing.  Joanna did a good job taking care of me though:
She brought me food and water and blankets and snuggles!  I felt bad I couldn't give them a lot of attention but I couldn't even get out of bed.  Katy keeping me company:
a "sandwich" Joanna made out of dried fruit:
She's so sweet :)  I felt bad that she ended up getting sick as well but she seemed to handle it much better than I did and is better now already!

Random bird picture:
I think this is a Downy Woodpecker.  It's been hanging out here the last few days and is really neat looking.

Saturday was the first day of trout season so we all went over to some friends house for fishing.  We had a lot of fun too!  We didn't catch any trout but Chase caught 2 fish and Joanna caught 1 and I caught 1 as well!
In the afternoon I walked over to the park for an egg hunt with the girls.  It ended up being much more crowded than I thought it would be and they didn't get many eggs but I think they had fun anyway.  Chase wasn't able to go with us because he and Ricky were at baseball practice.
