Random Happenings

The last couple of weeks have been kind of hectic around here... lots going on and just very busy!  My crochet business has picked up since summer ended and has been keeping me busy as well as school and activities with the kids. This year we decided to try and add a co-op day into our schedule. I was really very nervous and apprehensive about how it would go and if we'd be able to "make it work" but now that we're into it I'm so glad we found this group! It's such a good fit for us and has lots of fun classes to choose from. The kids and I all love co-op day!  I snuck this picture of Chase 's science teacher because she is so awesome.  She comes dressed in a different costume each week and does lots of different experiments with them!
Chase loves science class and the girls are jealous that  they aren't old enough for it yet... I'm kind of jealous I'm TOO old for it, haha! The book we're working through for it is very interesting though and has lots of fun experiments to do each week.  We also came home with a pile of "New" clothes from the "free stuff" pile they have each week!
Today for school, the girls made the cutest scroll ever:
and Chase got distracted by our new African clawed frogs:
They are pretty interesting actually.  They live completely under water and swim around like fish.  They're super easy to take care of too:
Some pictures of the boy puppy, Max:
He gets held a lot and is super spoiled already!
Last weekend it was lovely out so we took the kids fishing one evening.
The girls didn't do much fishing but Ricky hooked one for Joanna to reel in and she was pretty excited about that.  She mostly just likes collecting shells though :)
We took Dominic with us as well.  The poor boys tried their best but they just couldn't catch any fish.
(yes, Chase is wearing a coon-skin cap :P)
We like to go to this dam often.  There's always little fish to be caught at the bottom of it and hardly anybody else ever goes there.  It was a beautiful evening too.
Last Friday I got a couple bushels of apples to make sauce out of.
Of course my kitchen helpers HAD to help... I was actually surprised they were able to use the mill!
Their little arms get tired pretty quickly though :P
Mmmm, Yummy!
It didn't take too long before I had 13 lovely quarts of applesauce to go into the freezer.  Hopefully we'll be able to make it last through the winter!
