I made this strange alcove in our family room into a reading nook for the kids. They loved it and would all try to go in there at once or fight over who's turn it was.
all of the lights have fallen down now, maybe I should nail them up with actual nails instead of thumb tacks :/
Ricky and I celebrate our anniversary in February. We didn't really do anything special this year but managed to go on a little date to Isaac's restaurant.
the dog decided the reading nook was good for naps too.
spent Valentine's day with all my little loves :)
Our church does a sweetheart banquet every valentines day weekend so we went to that and enjoyed a yummy meal and nice fellowship :)
We had a very cold winter!
lots of hockey.
and lots of crafts. My friend Sue and I are still teaching our Textile Arts class at our co-op and have to try out all the crafts ahead of time.
this was a fun one; a piece of cardboard with yarn glued down in different areas, then you cover with tinfoil and color in with sharpies.
Of course my kids want to try all of the crafts too :)
I found this funny mug at a thrift store I frequent and it's my new favorite :)
Lots of snow and cold last winter.
we were able to take the kids sledding at Brubaker park a bunch
and we attempted to incubate our own eggs
watching them hatch out:
we had 4 hatch from the 2 dozen eggs we incubated.
another craft we tried out. Sharpies and alcohol on a tile from Home Depot to make some coasters.
