Our Weekend

I ended up making it to church on Sunday morning with Chase. Chase actually did pretty well for me too. Usually if I go and Ricky's not there or he's ushering Chase is so squirmy for me. But he did good. I think he was tired cause he just wanted to sit on my lap throughout worship. I was glad I went. CB preached about the fruits of the spirit and it was a sermon I really needed to hear. Ricky came home Sunday afternoon around 4:00pm. We unpacked his truck and then went over to Reamstown park and met a bunch of friend's to play kickball. It was going to be wiffleball but all of the balls broke so that game turned into kickball. I learned my lesson from last time though and did not play. I really wanted to though. It was fun to watch all the little kids playing together and the big kids play too. Ricky was really sore the next day from all the running and diving.
Yesterday we were both pretty tired but pushed through anyway and did a bunch of yard work. We finished trimming the holly bushes out front and I think they look very nice.

Ricky got a load of mulch and put some in front of the dog fence and other places. He also planted the rest of the corn. Chase was having so much fun yesterday and was "helping" Ricky with the mulching and this is how he ended up at the end of the day.

He always smiles so nice for the camera. Last night we went over to Ricky's parents for a get-together with his family. We got there around 6:00pm and had chicken BBQ. I brought meadow tea of course and a chocolate cake with PB icing. We stayed till almost 9:00pm. That was nice.

I have to finish my laundry today and then go to work this afternoon. Only 2 more times and then I'm done going in! Yeah! Sheila let Chase borrow the Cars movie so he is watching it right now. He is so happy. He's had the cars books and loves them but never seen the movie before.

Your bushes look good! And I love his little smile. It;s very grown up of him to do it so nicely.
Isnt Cars great? We got a mini dvd player since we'll be traveling so much this summer and the last trip to MI (Jen's graduation) Alex just watched that over and over. Good times :)
