Puppies and Babies being delivered

Wednesday Ricky started work at 10:30am and he didn't end up coming home until 11:00am on Thursday! He had to work all night. I woke up on Thursday and was a little worried that he wasn't home yet. He made it home safely though. This was a one time thing that they had to do over night at this job in York, PA. I'm glad he doesn't have to work nights all the time, that would not be fun. He got home and took a shower and went right to bed. He was able to sleep from noon till 5:00pm so that was good I think. We went to walmart last night then just for fun:)
On the way home we drove past Chad and Sheila in their car so Ricky called them and they were going to Walmart too (we hicks just love walmart). Anyway Chad said that our friend and his sister-in-law, who was due to have her baby 3-4 days before me delivered on Tuesday evening. 2 weeks early! He said they left their house at 9:15pm for the birthing center and she walked in the door and delivered at 9:34pm (its about a 20 minute drive there too)! Talk about cutting it close. Anyway I am really jealous and am trying not to be. She had her last baby early too. Some people :)
Mishti went into labor early this morning too and still hasn't delivered a puppy but I think they are soon coming. She would really like to have them on our couch. I let her out to go to the bathroom and I had to drag her back to her whelping box. I'm a little worried about her though. She's crying and carrying on like crazy. I wish Mom was home to tell me it's OK. Stupid, Norway. I much rather prefer when they have their puppies in the middle of the night or when I'm not home so I don't have to hear them carry on. Jenna had me worried too when she had her puppies, she was howling! I had to leave the house.
I have an appointment this morning at the birthing center and not much else planned for today. Patty was saying she was going to come over and help me make strawberry jelly tonight. Our strawberries are sooo good! I decided not to net them. The birds don't get too many of them. I can share with them I guess. Chase was "helping" me pick them yesterday. He was picking the green ones for a while and then he stopped that and started eating the ones out of my bucket:) That was OK though. He never would eat strawberries before so I was happy he was actually eating something without me forcing him to.

Hey- if you are only 3 weeks away- it means you are full term! Congrats! I know you dont want to go late- but remember that making it to this point is a bigger deal than you think :)
I can not wait to see pictures of 'it' though!
Good luck with those puppies- I hope everybody makes it out okay.
Have a great weekend enjoying your strawberries!

Amy, Wendell told me tonight that the York Daily newspaper took pictures and are going to have a write up about the work being done. Wendell said they would send him one. Enjoy your strawberries! Grandma
