Tomato soup
I thought it was funny that this grape juice is in the fridge flanked by meadow tea on one side and whole milk on the other. Are we Mennonite or what?

Chomping corn,
this corn is so good it doesn't even need anything on it.
canning, canning and more canning.
I'm really enjoying this stuff. The grape juice was an experiment to see if I actually wanted to spend time doing all of them. It turned out good so I guess I need to do that now too. Chase has been running around like crazy the last couple days, playing with the neighbor kids. He had one accident yesterday. Today he went to church in his underwear, when we put him in children's ministry we put a diaper on him (just in case). Well we went home and put him down for a nap right away and just left the diaper on and when he woke up he asked me to take it off for him and he hadn't gone that whole time! He's so cool. We have another busy day planned tomorrow.

Again, I have to tell you I am so proud of you doing all the canning etc. Don't you have a freezer, that you can the corn? If you are using jars, I can give you some. I don't need them all. I have quarts and pints and you can have some if you need them. I know they aren't cheap to buy. You give me a problem though! How am I going to give you jellies if you do it all yourself? Maybe I will have to quit , but I enjoy doing it too.
I do have a freezer that I put some of the corn in already. I didn't have any more freezer boxes though and I have lots of jars that I thought I could use. I might be able to use more if you don't need them though. Especially next year when we are going to plant more stuff in our garden.
Amy, I not only have extra jars that I can give you, I also have too many freezer boxes. I can share those with you too. So I will be glad to give them to you if you can use them.
I don't think you have to be Mennonite to enjoy canning and freezing. It's good work that benefits you in many ways, but I guess the Mennonite comes honestly from both sides. I'm very proud and thankful of my Mennonite heritage. I must admite home canned grape juice is the best.
Wow Amy, I am impressed with all the stuff you're doing! You little homemaker...you're turning into Christy! No but seriously, as long as you enjoy doing it, good for you!
