This is going to be a quick one because I am really tired and want to go to bed early tonight. I've been really busy this week. Monday Ricky and I worked hard all day. I wasn't planning on doing the rest of the corn until this weekend but Ricky's dad said we should do it right away because it was starting to get wormy. So Ricky and his dad picked the last of it and husked it all and I cleaned and blanched it all. It was maybe 4:00 in the afternoon by the time I was ready to start cutting it off the cob and Ricky's mom showed up to help me finish it. It was so nice of her because she had done tomatoes for herself all day and I'm sure she was tired. We also finished painting the garage door in the morning so that is another task accomplished. It felt good to finally be done with the last of the corn. We have a TON of it though. Corn coming out our ears (ha ha). That's so terrible. We also went and weeded some more in the garden in the evening when it cooled down. We're almost done with it but it's been so hot the last couple days I haven't gotten out there to finish it.

Tuesday I had laundry to catch up on and in the afternoon I went to get a long overdue haircut. I took Chase to Patty's house and he was happy to play with Dominic while I was gone. I took Joanna with me and she just sat in her car seat smiling at everyone who walked by. I'm not very happy with my haircut though:( Oh well.

Wednesday I finally made it to the Chiropractor in the morning. My back had been killing me all weekend from all the weeding. I cleaned my house in the afternoon.

Today is Thursday and I left my house at 10:00am and stopped in at Ricky's job, (he's working in Shillington) said "Hi", and brought him a Coffee Coolata from DD. After that I continued driving to visit my Grandma. I got to her place around 11:30 and we left almost right away to go out to eat at Cracker Barrel. She treated us all to lunch there. Isn't that nice!? After we ate lunch we all went to Cabela's because I had to return something for Ricky there. We also walked around and looked at all the animals.

On our way back we stopped at the Wexcon shop and visited with my Aunt Rita and Cousin John and one of the office girls a little bit. We then went back and sat and chatted at Grandma's house a little while.

It was such a nice visit. Grandma gave me a ton of freezer boxes and canning jars so I don't think I will ever have to by any more. I am really tired now though. Chase had slept a little in the car but never took another nap after that so he was especially naughty tonight and I put him to bed early. And now momma needs to go to bed too.

BTW: We just found out tonight that Ricky's mom has uterine cancer and is going to need a hysterectomy on Oct. 2ND so please pray that that all goes well for her.
