Our Furry Frenemies

Look at what we caught tonight!

You know what that picture reminds me of... did you ever see the movie The Witches? It's based off the Roahld Dahl book, if you saw it you will know what I mean.
we actually caught two of them but the second one got smushed and I didn't want to share that picture. I saw the first one while we were down in our family room. It went behind the computer desk and I yelled at Ricky. He got Chase's little hockey stick and tried to chase it out but wasn't having any luck so I had to put Joanna down(I was trying to nurse her to sleep) and move furniture around till he finally pinned it.
Doesn't Ricky look proud?
I only freaked out and screamed once:) So after we caught this one I finished putting Joanna to bed and then I saw another one! Again it went behind the computer desk, but we were able to get that one a lot faster this time. It turned out to be just a little baby one, probably wondering were it's mommy was(bwahaha), Ricky just flushed it down the toilet. We're not sure what to do with the first one that we caught. we were thinking about letting it loose in the chicken's coup and having them get it, but I don't want it to get away and come back into the house. So now Ricky went to go set some traps, I'm sure there's probably more of them, ugh! I hate having mice in the house. It startles me so bad when I see them scurry around like they do. I know someone will probably mention that I once had a pet mouse, but that was different. There's a big difference between looking at a mouse through a plastic cage and seeing one out of the corner of your eye scurry around. Ugh, I still have the heebie jeebies.

Dear Amy, seeing that little varmint just skeeves me completely... my expression was not as gleeful as Ricky's. Anyone who can rid the house of mice is a hero to me :)

I'm so glad you caught them! And Ricky does look proud. I dont know if I would have been so nice if I found a mouse in our house. We've been lucky not to have any inside yet, we do get gigantic spiders sometimes (like smack it 3 times with a size 13 shoe and it's still moving gigantic). Anyways- hopefully with the traps they will figure it out quick enough and leave you alone! S/he sure was cute though. You know, for a rodent.

Ricky looks more maniacal than proud. Yikes! Poor little mousy. :(

Ricky, the mighty hunter with his mouse catch! I also hate mice and do not have mice in my house. I hope they don't come here now since I said it! I'm glad you caught the varmint- rodent or whatever.

Reminds me of the time I caught one on our kitchen counter under a coffee cup! Keep on fighting the rodents!
