We've been having all sorts of fun around here lately. I got another big box from Diapers.com and turned it into a dog house for Chase. He was obsessed with it for a few days and Ricky even let him take a nap in it one day while I was at work. We had to throw the box away finally since it had been dragged all over the house.
The weather has been absolutely beautiful this past week so we've been spending most of our time outside, enjoying the sunshine. The kids were very happy to find the sandbox again that had been hidden under snow most of the winter. Chase has been busy picking crocuses from the yard and Joanna has discovered that she still likes to eat sand. The other day I put a crocus in behind my ear and then forgot about it until Ricky came home from work. I had been wondering why people at Walmart were looking at me funny. Although I suppose it could have been the two children with me acting like they had been fasting for 3 days straight and begging for everything in sight, or it could have been the huge stack of coupons that I had to keep sorting through, or I guess it could have been me muttering to myself about the price of groceries these days, hmmm, come to think of it, people probably didn't even notice that I had a flower in my hair :)
Tuesday I was able to go for a long run outside with the dog and yesterday I went on a long bike ride with the kids in the trailer. I just love that I am able to get outside to exercise again. I'm hoping to be able to run a 5k in the middle of April so I need to add a mile to my training but I'm pretty confident I can do that in 3 weeks.
here is a very short video of the kids. for some reason they always go nuts when Ricky changes to the weather channel. It's pretty funny. I guess with a Pop-pop and a Mommy who are obsessed with the weather they didn't have much of a chance :)
Well I believe that's the news for now crew, don't forget to change your clock this weekend :)

Video is cute..you should see some of the ones I've gotten recently of my children dancing on my bed...great blackmail for when they're teenagers!
Does Chase read fishing magazines before he falls asleep?
What's up with the weather channel?? :)
Thanks for the reminder about the clocks!
You gotta start 'em young on the fishing and hunting mags, ya know :)
When my guys were little their favorite "toys" were large cardboard boxes - they could become anything! I have a pic of Ben in the playpen with a cardboard box he had crawled into, he had broken out the bottom and he was standing with it around his waist. Glad to see cardboard boxes are still popular!
