March Mulchin' Madness

So I was wondering who was choosing Aligator in the poll and it turns out it was Ricky, both times :) Don't forget to vote for what you think the gender will be.
------------------------------------------------------->
We are hoping to find out and we're not going to keep it a secret this time so put in your votes before we find out then you can say, "I told you so", or not ;) For the record, I think it's a boy.
Saturday morning Ricky and I got up and at 'em bright and early. It was so cold Saturday morning but we got to work anyway pulling out those holly bushes in front of the house. Ricky hooked a chain to the hitch on his truck and they came out quite easily. It was so cold Chase watched from inside the truck and Joanna stood on a chair in the dinning room and watched from there. We had all the bushes pulled out (six of them) and loaded on the trailer by the time Patty came to get Chase at 9:00am. She was taking Chase, Dominic and Dominic's friend to the North Museum in Lancaster. After we got rid of the bushes we went and got a load of mulch.

Landscaping is to come.

It looks like we really like mulch. The beds are so huge and they look strange with nothing in them. I can't wait to fill them up.
I also can't wait for all my roses to bloom. They're going to look so nice this summer.

We did two trailer loads of mulch before noon and got quite a bit finished up. Ricky wants to have all our mulching done before we go on our "Spring Hunt". I think we should be able to finish it, as long as we get good weekend weather.
I got three of the dogs groomed on Thursday and they look so nice. Jenna looks especially good, I can't get over how soft she is.
I didn't take pictures Penny and Blondie yet but they look really good too, I need to fix around their faces a little though.
Joanna has been waking up to Ricky's alarms at 4 am the last couple weeks and taking at least 2 hours to get back to sleep. I'm not sure what to do about that, but it's been pretty tiring. This morning I fell asleep all curled up on the toddler bed next to her crib. I think Ricky needs THIS ALARM. What do you think? I wonder if insurance would cover that? Jo has also been taking her diaper off a lot lately when it's wet so I've been sitting her on the potty if she takes it off, nothing has come out yet though ;) This morning I saw her start to poop so I ran her upstairs and sat her on the potty and she only went a little tiny bit so I hope I didn't constipate her. We'll keep working at it though, I don't know if she's ready yet or not but I always think if they are taking their diaper off then they are soon ready for potty training, ya know?
Oh, just for fun, here's where the baby is at right now...
Your baby weighs about 14 grams and is about 2-1/2 inches in length. His or her reflexes are functioning, and the digestive tract is active and secreting bile - all to prepare your baby for life outside of your body. Stem cells, the "mother cells" that will become heart, brain, liver, bone, blood, nerve, and immune cells, continue to differentiate to form your baby's major organs. Although your baby's brain continues to grow, the components now have the same structure they will have at birth. If your OB or midwife uses a fetal Doppler, you may be able to listen to your baby's heartbeat.

Wow, that is a lot of mulch and yes you really need to get some plants in there.
That is a strange alarm clock. Where did you ever hear of that?
