This one's not too bad, but she was looking when I went to snap the picture:
Well at least you see her pigtails in this one:
Oh yes, this one's really good(sarcasm):
Are you seeing what I mean?:
Thought maybe a group shot would be easier for her:
Umm, OoohK:
Not too bad, but still not great:
Ok, this one's just funnily cute:
Out of all those pictures this one's the best I got:
So you might be thinking that maybe it's just my fault but look how many pictures it took to get a good one of Chase:
One.
Oh well, there's worse things than not being able to take a good picture :) I just thought it was funny. Yesterday morning my parents came up and went with me and the kids to my first appointment at the Birth Center. I felt bad for them because the first appointment is a long one and they had to wait for an hour and a half! The kids got to hear the baby's heart beat though and that made Chase very happy, I don't think Joanna cared much :) I got some really good news at my appointment. The midwife said that Since I had a successful VBAC with Joanna that I would probably be able to have this baby at the Birth Center instead of going to the Hospital. They are going to check with my insurance company so pray that it will be covered. It would be a dream come true to have the baby at the birth center- it would also mean a water birth would be possible! I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high yet.
Here's my "bump" last week at 4 months. I think it's actually smaller this week.
I really thought I was feeling little kicks last night when I went to bed. Also I just scheduled an ultrasound for gender determination for May 1st (a Saturday). It's at a private imaging center and they guarantee finding out the sex or you get to come back for free. It costs the same as what my insurance would charge to go to the hospital and they don't guarantee finding out when you go there. So I'm pretty excited about it... Is it May 1st yet? After my appointment we were all so hungry and went out to eat on the way home. When we got back my parents left for home, it was nice to see them even for a little bit and I think they had fun spending time with the kids.
I did some more landscaping and transplanting this last weekend but I think I'll post pictures of that after this next weekend cause I'm planning on putting a bunch more in. It's starting to look very nice though.
I've still been feeling really good but I'm not so sure about running my race on Saturday. I went running on Monday and my ankle was acting funny and I could barely go 2 miles! It's definitely getting harder to run :( I'm really really sad about it, seriously.

Amy, that's funny! Even in your pic of you and Jo in the sidebar of your blog she is looking away. I also remember that we had a hard time finding a good thanksgiving picture b/c Joanna was looking away in most of the pictures. HAHAHA!!! She's just a really active little girl!
Guess it's a good thing I have a fast camera and lens to get her when I'm down :)
That is the main problem- she'll smile and say cheese but it's only for a milisecound. Silly girl :)
Amy - just checking your blog and HAVE to say CONGRATULATIONS! on your pregnancy :) Very happy for you guys. Looking forward to staying up to date with your blog!
We've been busy with our landscaping too and how nice it is to have it looking great outside, isn't it? Aside from the allergies, I love spring life!
I'd say just do candid shots of the girl. Maybe if you didn't tell her to smile then she wouldn't do it and then look away??
Also, outside shots are best. At least you won't have the flash glaring on her face.
Or....hire Katie. :)
Amy,
Thanks for stopping by our blog! It was great to hear from you! We miss you guys, too, and often wanted to call, but we lost your phone # somewhere along the way. Would love to catch up more, but I don't have your e-mail address either. Shoot us a note at fourhoups@yahoo.com sometime! Congrats on #3 coming along...very exciting!!
