(haha- it's good we have a big bed!)
I had grand plans for all the things I was going to do on Tuesday but ended up just taking it easy most of the day. I had my 34 week appointment at the Birth Center in the morning and it went really well. I almost missed my appointment because I thought it was scheduled an hour later than it really was. We ended up making it almost on time though and the kids had fun as per usual.

I got to see my favorite midwife- I actually really like all 3 of them but this one had delivered Joanna so I'm partial to her :) She let Joanna help measure my belly and hold the microphone to listen to baby. I only gained one pound in the last 2 weeks which made me really happy. She also told me that since I'm still considered a VBAC they need to send me for another ultrasound to make sure the placenta didn't attach to my c-section scar. If it did, I can still deliver at the Birth Center but they just need to prepare for what would happen if that was the case. I'm excited to see baby3 again and make sure "she" is really a "she" and didn't magically turn into a "he". After my appointment we went home and the kids really really really wanted to have a picnic outside so we did and Ricky was able to join us since he had worked all the night before and had the day off to sleep on Tuesday(although he didn't do a whole lot of sleeping). After lunch, which took a while since the kids kept getting distracted by everything, Ricky went to a meeting for work and the kids and I laid down for a nap. Well I ended up laying in bed for 3 hours! I slept for 2 and then the bed was just so comfortable I didn't want to get up and the kids just played on the bed while I rested some more.
Today I was feeling more productive and cleaned my house really good, it hadn't had a good scrubbing for a while so it took a while to catch up with that. I also started shampoo-ing the carpet downstairs (in the family room) with a shampoo-er that Christy is lending me. I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how well it is working, it's pretty gross to see the dirty water come up though. I think all the furniture moving and going up and down the stairs did not help matters with my back though and I had to stop before I was finished and ice it for a while. Ricky worked on the shampooing for a while until he decided that it "wasn't as fun as I said it was" ;) I'm not sure if I'll get any more of that done tomorrow as I had to get my apples today that I had ordered.
I originally thought they wouldn't be in until the middle of September but they called me last week and said they were ready already. I thought it would be nice to have a couple weeks off work until I had to do them but it was not to be. I like to use Honeycrisp apples which are so sweet and tasty but have a very short season so I couldn't put it off for another couple weeks because they might not have been there when I was ready... so I'll be saucin' the rest of the week now.
A couple days after my last post our furry forest friend decided to "leave us". I was so sad, I really liked him a lot, but Chase didn't care much at all. We had been trying to warn him that Chip would probably leave and if he did we'd get a hamster so as soon as he saw Chip left he was ready to go get a new pet, Oi! When we went to the pet store to look at the hamsters I was not that thrilled about getting one- they seemed pretty skittish and kinda look like mice/rats but we ended up getting one anyway. Chase named her Allie, or Ally- he didn't tell me how to spell her name ;) and the kids really like her a lot. She is pretty nice after all and has gotten used to being picked up by Chase and occasionally squeezed by Joanna. She still hasn't bit anyone either so that's good. We also got a little ball for her to run around the house in and it makes me laugh when she chases after me while I'm picking up the house. She also makes me laugh when she stands up in her cage and looks at me all intelligent like and when she runs ferociously on her wheel. So seeing as how I have a strict "if you make me laugh, you can stay" policy I guess we now have a pet hamster in our crazy life.

Some animals that were not making me laugh lately were the chickens, so we sold them to the owner of a feed mill near us. We also are going to convert that barn space into a luxury kennel for Jenna the funny labradoodle who lives in our house :)
