At the beginning of the year Ricky and I made a pact to save, budget and save some more this year. So in an effort to that end I switched grocery stores and started shopping at BB's grocery outlet. It's a store that carries dented cans and boxes or discontinued items. I have to be kinda careful I don't accidentally get something expired but so far I've been very pleased with shopping there. I am able to save more than half of what I had been spending at my other grocery stores! It's pretty exciting. Last week I got an 88 count package of pull ups for $19.99... sure they're a little crooked but they do the job :P The kids like when I shop there too because they have these really old $.25 rides.
Who knew grocery shopping could be so much fun?!
Another way we are saving is by switching to cloth diapers. I had used them with Chase but got out of it for some reason. Well I recently stopped in at Weaver's store and looked at their large stock of cloth diapers and decided to just do it. I was also able to talk the lady in charge of ordering them and she was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and helped me find the perfect system for me. I'm really happy with them, plus Katy looks super cute in cloth :)
I also thought I'd save electricity by letting my hair air dry every day but I'm still not sure about that one.
actually, I kinda cheated there and used the diffuser but ah well. My hair's still not quite long enough to let it go Au natural. Sometimes I think my hair grows so slow and get impatient but then I have to remember where I was a year ago:
If you look at it that way, It's grown a lot in a year :P
Dogs don't really have anything to do with my post but I can't have a post without them lately so here they are...
I finally moved the 2nd litter down to the fenced area in the basement so they're not in the kitchen anymore, but Jenna was enjoying them while they were there. I couldn't quite trust her with them though. She doesn't realize how big she is.Dogs don't really have anything to do with my post but I can't have a post without them lately so here they are...
and Joanna loving her some puppies :)
We also decided to change the kids bedroom around. Their beds were together in a bunk bed but no one used the top bunk, so we took them apart and now Joanna sleeps on one and Chase on the other. The toddler bed is in the corner for when Katy gets older.I'm not sure how long they will share a room but I expect it will be a while yet.
We've been dealing with some sickness around here but it seems as if we are all on the mend now, thank goodness.

We posted at the exact same time again!! So weird!
Does it really use that much electricity to use a blow dryer?? You are funny. :) By the way your hair is totally super cute and chic when it was short.
Also, we are pretty sure that Lily is pregnant now. She is sleeping a lot more and goes in her kennel to "hide" on her own (which she would NEVER do before). She also is definitely getting bigger too. Still not counting our puppies before they are born though. :)
Christy, I was just trying to think of a way to work in that picture cause it made me laugh :P. I like it short too but I miss being able to style it different ways, I was pretty limited in how I could wear it short. It was either with a headband or without, blah! That's so funny we posted together again, I totally thought we might... And yay for puppies!!!
Me too, about the cloth dipes anyway. And from the same store. I really like that store, they have everything. So, I will see how it goes. I hope they prove to be as easy to care for as the papers tell me they are. I bought the Bummis starter kit. And one flip diaper to try. Both are working well.
What soap are you using?
Your Katie is sweet. Makes me want a bundle of pink :)
