I haven't been able to update for a while again, we've been busy as always around here. A couple weeks ago on the 9th I drove up to my Grandma Yoder's house for a visit. we had such a nice time. We got there a little before 11:00 in the morning and I fed Katy while Grandma played with Chase and Joanna putting Lego's together on the floor :) After Katy ate we piled into the van and went out to eat together.
Then after lunch we went to Roadside America, a huge indoor miniature train village close to my Grandma's house. We had been there a couple years ago when Joanna was a baby but Chase remembered being there and really loved it.
There were buttons you could push every 3 feet or so that would drive trains or trolleys or move different scenes in the villages. Chase pushed every single button and then went around again and pushed them all a second time.
Joanna wanted Grandma to hold her the whole time, poor Grandma!
It was a lot of fun.
We left around 2pm I believe and got home with some very tired children.
That weekend was our anniversary weekend and Ricky and I decided to go out on a date night on Saturday. Chase and Joanna stayed at Ricky's sister's house and Katy came with us, of course. We drove up to Red Lobster in Reading and then remembered that it was also Valentine's day weekend and all of the restaurants were packed full with 2 hour waits! Well there was no way we could wait that long so we ended up at Chick-fil-a for dinner :) It was nice to just be out by ourselves for a couple hours though and we had a good time. We even had dessert (since it was a special occasion) Ricky had a slice of cheesecake and I had a piece of lemon meringue.
Tuesday the 15th was our Anniversary. We've now been married for 8 years!

It seems as though it's gone by in the blink of an eye. Ricky got me 2 dozen beautiful roses and the kids enjoyed them too of course :)
Last Friday the 18th, I drove over to Christy's house for a visit. It was so nice to hang out with my big sister again and all the kids had so much fun playing together. It turned into a beautiful sunny day and we actually had a picnic outside!
Who would have thought we could have a picnic in 70 degree weather in February!
I had gone over there to talk to Christy about homeschooling and to see if Lily was pregnant (she's not, boo). I don't know if I had mentioned that I was thinking of homeschooling or not. I was trying to decide between local private schools and homeschooling and I think I've decided on homeschooling. The more I look into it and talk to people about it the more appealing it sounds. I'm actually starting to get very excited about the things we will be able to do together. I've still been working with him on preschool stuff occasionally and we both really enjoy it. I accidentally stayed at Christy's for 4 hours and ended up getting home later than I would have liked but it was so fun.
Saturday the 19th was kind of a crazy day. I guess the warmer weather got people thinking of puppies and my phone was ringing off the hook all day long. My parents came over in the afternoon so my dad could give the puppies their shots and while they were here 3 different people came to look at/pick up puppies! It was madness. Thankfully my parents didn't mind and helped to entertain the kids and baby and Ricky while I talked to the people about the dogs.

Dad just got home from a missions trip to Guatemala and got Katy this little jumper while he was there.
After all the puppy people left we all went out to eat at Yoder's family restaurant and then mom and dad left from there to go home again.
Sunday we went to church in the morning and then had friends over in the evening. I went to school in Wisconsin with Jason and he and his family now live right down the road from us. They have 2 kids the same ages as Chase and Joanna and one on the way. The kids had so much fun running around, playing with the puppies and just messing around together. It was a lot of fun.
Monday morning I packed everyone up and drove down to NJ for a play date with my good friend Debbie. Debbie also has 3 kids and we had a lot of fun catching up and watching the kids play. I got home around 5:30pm and a lady came over around 9:00 to get a puppy. One also went home tonight so now there is only one puppy left to be sold! I'm hoping he can be sold before this weekend since I am planning to go away.
This morning we woke up to 3 inches of now on the ground. It was so beautiful but also weird to see after we had just had a picnic outside a few days ago. Chase helped me shovel a little bit until he got too cold.
I also have some random pictures of Katy that I have to share, she's getting so big and is such a happy baby. She's started sleeping through the night again which makes me very happy, of course.

also I think I shared a video of Katy talking before but here is a cute one of her laughing... like I said, a very happy baby.
and if you got through that whole blog post you deserve a cookie or something. I really need to update more often so my posts don't get so long... oh well :P

oo, ooo, I get a cookie!! Great update. Somtimes it seems like there is so much going on. I'm sure you'll be a great homeschooler, I think it's a great choice, wish I'd stuck with it longer. I love the visits to Roadside America, it's a great time for the kids.
Happy anniversary! At least you will always remember that anniversary with the fancy Chick-Fil-A dinner. We will always remember our first since we almost forgot it. :)
