Spring is coming, I know it is!

All of the snow finally melted the other week so we've been getting outside every day that we are able to lately.  Two weekends ago I went on a ladies retreat with my church from Friday to Saturday.  I had a great time but was pretty tired by the time I got home... I had taken Katy with me and she didn't sleep all that great Friday night.  She had a few bad days after that but is back on her lovely sleeping through the night schedule again now.  Sunday we went to the park in the afternoon and watched the kids Rollerblade.
poor Jo with her messy hair :P
and Katy hanging out in her Ergo as always.
apparantly a lot of other people were getting stir crazy too because the park was very full that day.  a whole crowd of Mennonites playing volleyball:
Chase had a lot of fun skating around and hitting the hockey ball... he's getting really good on his Rollerblades.
and likes to make the silly faces.
last week on Wednesday I decided I wanted to go for a hike in the afternoon so I called my friend from church to come with me. We met each other at the Wyomissing park which has a ton of really nice trails all throughout it.  We hiked through this large stand of pines (which smelled awesome!) and her oldest son rode his tricycle the whole way.
She has 3 boys around the ages of my kids and Chase and her oldest always love playing with each other.  She is also homeschooling him next year so we are hoping to be able to do weekly activities together.
we stopped at the stream to look at it and it took Jenna a while but she finally jumped in and swam around for a while.
She was hesitating at first but once she did go in she loved it and was frolicking around in the water and then would come out and tear about and then leap in the water again, it was so funny watching her.
getting ready to leap in again:
it was still pretty chilly that day but the sun was shining and it was nice to get out of the house and go for a walk.
plus the kids had a good time.  Jenna had a blast too and ended up on the couch like this at night :P
Thursday morning we went to story/craft time at the library which both of the kids enjoyed.  I was super impressed at how well Joanna did... she listened very well to all of the teacher's instructions and they loved the Green Eggs and Ham book that was read.
I decided last weekend that it was time to give Jenna her spring haircut, AKA. shaving all her shedding fur off.  It ended up being a 2 day ordeal for a couple different reasons but she looks good now!
And here are some more random pictures of Katy-pie :)
I love making her laugh
the other night I used the very last disposable diaper that I had in the house so we are officially all cloth all the time now!  I even switched to cloth wipes.  I had about a million of those baby washcloths that I never used and a friend gave me a recipe for a wipe solution, so now I use them as baby wipes.
