The puppies are getting bigger and bigger every day. They opened their eyes last week, right at the 2 week mark. I don't let the kids hold them until their eyes are open so they were pretty excited about it and noticed it almost right away :P Chase has this one in his pocket...
My poor boy has been sick for a little while now. We had to skip Classical Conversations two Wednesdays ago. The next day I had planned to meet my sister Christy at the Science Factory in Lancaster and Chase seemed to be doing better that morning so we went. Well by lunch time he started going down hill again and we had to leave early. It was probably time for us to go anyway, I had forgotten to pack us lunches or snacks and Katy needed a nap by that point. Christy and her kids had a lot of fun though and they stayed a few more hours after we left.Friday, I took Chase to the doctor and they said that he had a sinus infection! poor guy :( So we've been trying to get him better but he's still having ups and downs with it and not seeming to really kick it. Today he said his ear really, really hurt. I don't think it helps that we've been so busy lately, either... just when it seems like he's getting better he "relapses" again :(
Saturday, I spent most of the day cleaning the house really well. My friend Ronda called me in the afternoon and asked if we wanted to come over for a game night... I said sure, but they could come over to our place since they hosted the week before and my house was already clean :) So they came over (they have 3 boys), as well as Chad and Sheila and their little baby, after dinner. We had lots of snacks and coffee and fun and didn't play a single game :P
Sunday we went to church in the morning like usual and then in the evening Patty and Dexter and Dominic came over for Ricky's World Famous bacon wrapped venison loin. We only had enough loin left in the freezer for one more meal and they hadn't been able to try it yet so we decided it was now or never :) It was lots of fun to have them over though and the venison was amazing... so delicious. Ricky had even made us a cheesecake for dessert!
I've still been crocheting, although a little more slowly now. I made a ton of these ruffle scarves and then I decided to make some toddler sized. I'm glad I did because they are sooo cute!
She is too cute!
I made one for Katy too...
And Penny and Willie now sport snazzy little sweaters :P It's so hard to get a decent picture of them but Willie's has a little bow tie and pocket (with a little heart in the pocket :P) and Penny's has a tiny purple flower on it.
I really like making the dog sweaters the best. I've been thinking about making a bunch and taking them around to local groomers or pet stores and seeing if they would stock them for me. I like that I can be creative with them and make them all a little different. We've been enjoying the beautiful
The girls even had a picnic on the porch today...
You may notice Joanna is wearing a Cinderella gown.... well last week I had posted on FB that I needed little girl clothes for her because literally everything that she had was too small... and actually fitting Katy now! So Monday my friend stopped in with bags and bags of girl clothes! There were some play, dress up princess gowns too and Joanna was so excited about it all. She has been having multiple wardrobe changes per day :P Thanks Jess!!!This is quite the get-up, huh? :)
and holding puppies:
These two puppies are the biggest and smallest of the litter... quite a size difference!
Puppy Yawn:
They're all very healthy and strong and even starting to try and wander around a little. And on to very important news... I dyed my hair brown! I did it last Saturday and I am still not used to it. It's so different for me and I've never had it this dark before, it doesn't look awful though, I guess...
I kind of want to dye it back tomorrow but not sure if I should or not since it's only been a week, it was a "wash-out" color and has already faded some so it might be ok. I feel so weird though and just can't get used to it, I feel like I'm wearing a wig or something :P
Anyway... It sure feels like spring is on it's way! I usually really like winter and snow and cold but this mild winter has been a very nice break. Today I noticed some crocuses popping up in the grass and my Valentine's/anniversary Tulips are in full bloom too :P
Well, I think that's everything for now, I'm sure I'm leaving things out though.

Your hair looks cute! I like it :) I like the length, too. I'm jealous of how fast your hair seems to grow.
Joanna looks like she is just ready for anything. Every girl needs some princess gowns!
I hope Chase is all the way better very soon!
Mom said that you dyed your hair and I was expecting it to be more brown but that really doesn't look that drastic to me. I know what you mean though about feeling like you have a wig on. I once "accidentally" dyed my hair a reddish tint and it felt so weird.
