This tree was so huge it was incredible!
The kids had so much fun, as always, running and playing with their cousins, and seeing Grammy and Pop-pop.
There was this canopy walk that was fairly new and was very fun as well.
How many people can fit in the bird nest?:
This netting part was really neat!:
They had these wood "microphones" at various places in the park.
wrong way Katy:
It was a lot of fun, we had a picnic lunch and ended up leaving around 2 in the afternoon. At one point we were walking by a little creek and noticed a section of the bank was chained off with a sign that said, "Caution, poison ivy in this area", or something like that. Katy saw the sign too and said, "OMG, I LOVE poison ivy!!!" and made a bee line right for it. So of course I had to run after her and snatch her out of the patch she was dancing in. OK, so maybe that's a little exaggerated but all that to say I now have poison ivy, blah :/
Tuesday night we took the kids over to the Ephrata fair for the annual rooster/pig chase. We got there early and were able to walk around and look at all the animals.
This one was huge!:
Doing a dance for the cow:
Waiting to the chases to start:
So Tuesday was a long day, neither Chase or Joanna caught what they were chasing but they had fun and were fun to watch.
Wednesday morning we went and met some friends for a story time at Pottery works. It was a lot of fun!
I hadn't bought a ticket for Katy and was worried that she would be upset she couldn't paint a puppy but she was actually content to hang out on my back in the Ergo.
After that I walked to the little cafe next door and got sandwiches for the kids (I had packed my lunch but not theirs). The kids liked the swing chairs while we waited.
Then we walked to a park next to the parking garage and ate our lunches and let the kids run and play while we chatted for a little.
I had gotten the kids brownies and not myself, thinking on of them would surely share with me... alas, I was mistaken.
