Thanksgiving 2012

Well here it is almost Christmas already and I still haven't posted about our Thanksgivings!  I thought it was time to put the crochet hooks down and actually do a blog update :P  I've still been busy crocheting away like a mad woman, stocking things in my Etsy shop and making Christmas gifts and whatnot.

Our Thanksgiving was a busy one this year!  We ended up having parties three days in a row and somehow we survived them all!
Thanksgiving day we went to my Aunt Lou and Uncle Dan's house for a nice get together with my extended family.  They usually only get together once a year and we had missed a couple years, so it was nice to see everyone again and reconnect.
The day after that (black Friday) we drove down to my parent's house in NJ for a lovely get together with my family.  We first of all went on our traditional Thanksgiving hike.  It was a lot of fun!
We had a very nice photographer along with us (my sister Christy) who took lots of pictures for us.
I love this group shot, it turned out great!
What a lovely family:
all the grand-kids, minus baby Claire:
My adorable niece Kira:
my sweet baby Katy:

We usually take pictures on Thanksgiving with the idea to use them on our Christmas cards but this year we didn't have very good luck getting everyone coordinated.  Notice Katy freaking out in this picture?:
And this one was pretty nice but Ricky had his sunglasses on the top of his head.
And Katy still wasn't very happy, sigh.  I don't know what her deal was this year with the camera.  Oh well.  My friend Sheila ended up taking photos for us the next week and she did an amazing job.
Love this.
Katy was not very happy during the long hike but Aunt Dawn and her pretty necklace were able to make her feel better:
Joanna begging for some jewelry from Grammy :P
we were fortunate enough to have our very own super hero escort too!
We got back to the house and had our now traditional meal of Panzorattis and salad.  Then we had a game of my favorite Monopoly...
Ricky got his birthday present too.
Chase started helping me by rolling the die and moving my piece.  He was pretty proud that we ended up winning too!
