Flowers, Baseball and mini-golf

I had to take some more pictures of this Centaurea Cara Mia, it's such a neat flower!  I like the white tips.
It almost looks like some kind of sea anemone or something...
The Geum bloomed again and I love the dainty little flower... although some little girl picked this after I took the picture :P
My coreopsis is still blooming as well:
I think it was the last post I mentioned how my daisies were browning and I didn't know why.  Well, after doing some more reading and research I realized that it is because of the little tiny red bugs we've always had on our retaining wall and lampposts.  They're called red spider mites and apparently like to suck the juices out of flowers.
It sounds like they can be kind of difficult to get rid of, and at this point they have really taken over.
BUT, I'm pretty determined and it's safe to say, the war is on!
I wanted to take some more pictures of this Lithodora with my "real" camera.  I love how bright blue these flowers are.
The kids helped me pick out some flowers to put on our basement step walls.
I like the flat marigolds and they'll help keep the mosquitoes away from the patio table.  Chase was in love with these yellow and orange ones:
Joanna picked out these:
The roses are still doing well.  These red ones are towering well above me already:
So Chase had is last baseball game last Monday. It had gotten postponed a couple times due to all the rain we've been having so I was pretty happy that they were finally able to have the last game.  His team ended up winning handily and they got trophies!
Chase was beyond excited :)

Last Sunday evening we took the kids mini-golfing.  It was so fun. They had a blast and Ricky and I were just laughing the whole time!
I didn't really keep score for the girls but Chase got a hole in one once!
Ricky ended up winning the whole thing though, so he was pretty happy :P
We stopped at Wendy's on the way home to get some ice cream and then came home and let the kids run around and catch some fireflies

Random happenings...
The kids have been fighting some weird illness where they have a really high fever and headache for 24 hours and then the next day they are perfectly fine.  Katy started it then Jo got it and now Chase has it.
I'm now convinced that Katy is left handed.  She does everything with her left hand!
I organized my measuring cups and spoons the other day:
a pinterest project I've been meaning to do for a while.  It's really nice to have them all out of the drawer where it was impossible to find them.
The puppies are sooo cute.  They're almost 7 weeks old and we have them for another couple weeks but they are all sold at this point!
They have so much energy.  I feel like I might miss them when they are gone, they're so much fun.  I know Blondie sure won't miss them pestering her all the time though!
