This is Summer

Swimming in the pool:

Flowers on the windowsill:

flip-flops with crochet rosettes:

Actually having the time to clean and organize the kid's rooms:

There's carpet in there! Who knew?!

Library activities:

This is a reptile guy.  We really enjoyed this!

The famous Hognose Snake:

Collecting chicken eggs:

Our hens finally started laying!  We have two roosters we're still trying to find new homes for.

Bouquets from the garden, on the table:

Racing:

Our little Katy-bear decided to race too.  We obviously weren't expecting her to want to and she was wearing a pretty dress and flip-flops :P

it was a half mile.

I "ran" with Katy the whole way:

I couldn't believe she actually finished the whole thing!

Joanna was the real surprise though... She beat Chase and Dominic and was the second girl overall to finish!

we were so proud of her :)

watermelon and Gatorade after the race:

Getting ready for school:

Our reading list this year includes a lot of Shakespeare and I was excited to find this book in our stash that we had gotten for free last year at the yard sales and I had quickly forgotten about.
Flowers as large as my head blooming:

Fun crochet projects for the kids:

These are Creature power suits just like the Kratt brothers wear.  I made 4 (one for Dominic as well)!  And also made some creature power disks and carrying pouches for the disks.

more butterflies in the garden.  I was very excited to see this beautiful monarch!

Still not sure what this guy is:

Looks like he might be some kind of moth?

The other day there were 3 Tiger Swallowtails and lots of other butterflies around the bushes but we were too busy for me to be able to photograph them.
