The first Friday in October a couple friends of mine and I went and had a fun day in Lancaster City. It was so nice to get out and have a little break from the kids and be able to talk to each other without getting interrupted by little ones every 5 seconds :) We first went to
Pottery Works and laughed and talked while painting some pottery. I had a coupon for Pottery Works so I decided to paint two items. This first is a plate for Birthday's or other special occasions for the kids:
I remember my mom having a "you are Special" plate that I always loved eating off of on my Birthday, the kids love this too and can't wait until it's THEIR special day :)
My friend Ronda painted herself a honeypot:
and Sheila painting a really pretty vase:
This was my second project, and it was all for me this time:
A travel mug. It's machine washable and microwavable as well!
you can't really see it well but it says, "let it snow!" :) I had to free hand the snowflakes and I think they turned out pretty good.
After we were done painting we walked around
Central Market and looked at things. It didn't take long because it's a fairly small market, it is still interesting though! After that we went to eat lunch and then headed home. It was a very fun day and we're hoping to do it more often :)
