More Winter Photos

Snow snow and more snow this winter!
I was trying to get a good picture of this black-capped chickadee but he didn't stay around long enough. I love these little birds though, so cute!
We seem to have lots of Dark-eyed Junco's this year for some reason, they're always at the feeder!
And lots of house sparrows too. I usually don't bother taking pictures of them because they're always there and pretty common birds but  they're still pretty too, aren't they?!
I came up with a new design for my beard hats and Ricky was kind enough to be my model :)
Pretty funny!

I made the kids an igloo after the first snow last week and they loved it and played in it a while before it got dark!
Peaches loved it too :P
Unfortunately we got an ice storm a day after that and now it's unusable.  I always think the ice is so pretty, as long as I don't have to go anywhere and it doesn't damage anything!
We've had several Starlings at the feeder too. I've heard they can be pests, and to be honest they're not very attractive, but they haven't been a nuisance yet so I don't begrudge them a meal :P
We also have a male and female pair of Downey woodpeckers that frequent.  They are some of my favorites.

Ricky's had a lot of time off this winter, it seems, from all the snow days.  He was getting a bit buggy last week and so decided to make this plywood goalie for Chase to use over his net when he practices downstairs.
I was super impressed with his painting skills!
More ice pictures:
This Flicker has been visiting our feeder sporadically and I always try to get a picture of him but he always hid behind this one branch!
It was getting frustrating! But I kept trying and trying until...
Boom! I got him! :P
Aren't they neat?!
