Sleepless nights and Crabby days

Just so you know, not everything is always peachy here in Eberlyville.
For some reason every time I lay Joanna down in her pack and play she wakes up and screams like she's laying on a bed of nails.

So needless to say I have not been getting enough sleep and have been a little crabby during the daylight hours.

I would just let her sleep in our bed but she sweats really bad and makes me hot. I hate being hot when I'm sleeping, hence the pack-and-play by the bed for babies. However this baby has different ideas. It seems like Chase has been a bit testy lately too. Unfortunately I have not had the patience to deal with it correctly. I think we will all adjust soon but right now it's kinda difficult and frustrating.

On a lighter note... Monday evening Rick and Alma (Ricky's parents) came over and picked a lot of corn and went home and husked it that evening. Yesterday morning I went over to Alma's house to help her do the corn but I didn't get there until a little after 9:00am and she was almost done. I tried to get there sooner but it didn't happen. Ricky's Aunt had gone over to help so at least she didn't have to do it all by herself. She did 22 quarts of corn! And that was only from 4 rows of corn and we have 11. She said we'll do some more corn at the end of next week so I'll be able to help.

I took the kiddos out for a walk in the afternoon and it was so hot it was sizzling.
I came home and took Joanna out of the ergo and the whole front of me was drenched with sweat, eww! It was nice to get the exercise though. I'm itching to get out and start jogging. I was thinking that I could go jogging in the evening when Ricky is home until I get a double stroller.
Yesterday evening we walked over to Patty and Dexter's house (Ricky's sister and bro-in-law). Dexter's niece is staying with them for the summer and yesterday was her 10th birthday so Patty made Abi-gayle's favorite, spinach lasagna, it was so yummy. Abi-gayle is from the Cayman Islands and is so polite and quite. She has a really neat accent too.
I woke up with a back ache this morning so I'm hoping I can get to the chiropractor this afternoon. I also have some notes to type up for the Dr. that I have been putting off doing for a while so I think today is the day for that to get done.

Amy, you are cute! I'll never take the time to illustrate my blog with a picture of a fried egg etc. Maybe Joanna is just wanting to be with you, but she will adjust to "her" bed eventually. It's hard to let them cry at night, because who can sleep then?
Saw Ricky when he came into the office yesterday. I don't see him very often, so it was nice. Grandma

I agree with Grandma, all those little pix with your comments were cute. Don't know how you can sleep with the babies in the same room as you. I could never do that with mine. I always had them in their own room even as infants, and they never slept in our bed with us. I remember sweating a lot with Matt, he was born in July. I guess I'd better catch up on my own blog, maybe tonight.
