I know I haven't blogged in a while but I'm still here, I promise... just really, really busy :) Chase is doing really well with school still. I had to take a step back from the Math stuff because it got a little too advanced too quickly. Right now we are just working on counting, after he gets that I'll start looking around for something different to use, I didn't like the program we were using.
Katy is growing so fast now it seems. She has a couple teeth coming in but for the most part is sleeping pretty well at night. We moved her up to the guest room and it's nice and quiet up there for her.
She loves being outside :)It's been pretty nice fall weather around here the last several weeks so we've been spending lots of time going for walks and playing outside. A couple weeks ago we met some homeschooling friends at the Akron park for lunch and playing.
We even walked to the park as a family the other week.
Who's that big kid on the swings?? :)
I forgot to mention in my last blog post that we have a litter of puppies right now! Penny had a litter that are now 2 1/2 weeks old and cute as buttons. They're going to be ready to go right at Christmas time this time so that's nice and convenient.
And also, speaking of puppies... I got this picture sent to me from one of the people who got Jenna's puppy. She's not such a little puppy anymore!
So cute though!
We had a little surprise snow storm last weekend. It was so strange to see all the leaves still on the trees and snow on the ground. We actually got quite a bit too.
It was a very wet, heavy snow but we didn't end up losing any tree branches. I had to go out and knock the snow off my little tree in the front and my magnolia and arborvitaes. We actually had to shovel the driveway in October!
I thought we got around 6 inches but Ricky said 4.
our neighbors' tree bent down by the weight of the snow.
I always love how these pines look covered in snow.
My parents came up for a little visit on Sunday and my dad and the kids made a snow man :)

All the snow is gone already but it was fun for a few days :P
I've been trying out some new recipes lately that have been really, really good.
This Baked Potato Soup was really easy and super delicious.

And Stuffed Turkey Peppers (I used venison of course)... so yummy!

I was going to comment on how good that potato soup picture looks, till I noticed the signature in the corner of the picture. Well, it still looks super yummy even if it isn't yours!
Your snow pictures are amazing and your kids are super amazing!
Love,
Mom
Katy does seem to have gotten big really fast lately!
Jenna's puppy is so cute! It looks like a Muppet. :)
