So I'm a part of a mom's group on FB and we had decided to do a gift exchange for our kids that were turning two. I decided to make my gift to give. I got a list of the little boy's likes and dislikes ahead of time. She had listed that he liked Yo Gabba Gabba and so I thought I would try to crochet those monsters for him but I couldn't find a pattern for them anywhere so I decided to make these monsters instead. I decided to make 10 different ones and number the backs. I had fun making them all and deciding how to make each one different and special. Chase loved them too and would always come down in the morning and look at the new monsters I had made the night before while he was in bed :)
Chase said I should make arm for some one of them:This one has a top hat and mustache:
This was Chase's favorite:
This one's a little lopsided, lol!
This one was by far my favorite!:
Joanna liked this one with the Tu-Tu:
Mohawk:
I also made a little backpack for him with his name on it:Originally I had thought the backpack would hold the monsters but I judged the size wrong and only about 3 would fit in so I got a little canvas bin at Walmart for $2.50:
The little boy received his gift this last week and apparently really loves playing with them :) , Chase was sad to see them go.
Katy's gifts came in the mail last week and she was so adorable opening them:
Speaking of Crochet projects... Joanna requested a dress for her doll:
I'm really pleased with how it came out! I made up the pattern myself :DRicky and I went to the eye doctor this afternoon to see about him getting Lasik in his one eye and I worked on it while I was watching them poke and prod his eyes and then finished it when we got home and I did school with Chase.
Ricky thinks I need to make a matching one for Joanna, ha ha!
She wants me to make the doll ballet slippers still so I need to try and find a pattern for that.
The other day I was able to get this bench for our side porch. I love how rustic and "country" it looks! plus it helps to hide the work boots on the porch :P
My cute little 6 year old:
He was super excited about his little pencil that he sharpened down so small. He's doing so good with school, I'm so proud of him.
Update:
I found a pattern for little doll slippers last night and made them pretty quickly.
Joanna is beyond pleased :)
