I can't believe my little baby girl is two! She is such a funny little girl and such a blessing in our lives. Tuesday night we had a little party for her and she got lots of love and attention and presents! I don't think she knew what to do with herself and all the gifts, poor thing, is not used to having all the attention on herself :P
My parents came up around 3:30 in the afternoon and hung out with us for a little. We had venison burgers and salad for dinner and then Ricky's parents came over around 6:30 to watch Katy open presents. She is very into My Little Pony right now and so she got lots of little ponies to play with :)
Grammy, helping with the unwrapping:
This picture is fuzzy but her face is too funny:
My mom got her 3 different dresses, all very adorable, and a pair of very cozy pajamas and a little My Little Pony. She wanted to put on the cozy Pajama shirt right away... maybe because my house was so cold, I refuse to turn the heat on yet :P
I had stayed up late the night before to try and finish this monster hat for her. She likes it and was so funny with it on. She ran around growling and roaring at the other kids.
It looks kind of like a rooster with the pink spikes but, oh well.
I also got her this my little pony plushie.
Ricky's mom got her a nice warm winter coat and a little baby doll.Showing off her things to Daddy:
After presents we moved to the dining room to sing "Happy Birthday" to her and eat cake.
She liked us singing to her and waited until the very end of the song to blow out the candle! She got it blown out in only 3 tries :)
This is probably the best cake I've made in several years... I'm not a baker! :P
It was good but VERY sugary... a little too sweet for me, but the kids liked it, of course! My parent's left a little after 7pm and then Patty, Dexter and Dominic arrived with more gifts and cheer. Patty got her another My Little Pony toy and a sticker/coloring book, which she has been using this week.
So it was a very fun evening. The kids were pretty worn out and not in the best mood yesterday, for her actual birthday. Ah well, they had fun and I'm sure they'll be in a good mood again today :)
Happy Birthday Katy-bear!
