I just stocked up on a lot of new hats and beanies so check it out again: HookedbyAmy I'd like to try and figure out how to make a "badge" or "button" for my blog here but I guess I have to ask my techie friends for help on that one :P
OK, just starting off this post with a random cute picture:
Ricky had off for Christmas Eve and Day so we decided to have our own little family Christmas together on Christmas Eve. We woke up smelling this awesome casserole that had cooked all night, but of course the kids couldn't wait to eat before they opened their gifts so we let them dive into them first :)
Christmas day we went to Ricky's parents and had brunch with them. I had made this adorable hair bow for Katy to try and cover up that bald spot on the side, but she doesn't like it :( I ended up "fighting" with her all day trying to get her to keep it on and then finally just gave up. It looked super cute on her though!
We had brunch, which was amazing of course, I love brunch. And then moved all our full bellies to the living room.
Hmm, I wonder where they get that from?!
Dominic read us all the Christmas story and then we sang a couple songs before letting the kids dive in and open their gifts
melt down time... you think someone needs a nap?!
The boys both got lots of Legos and played with them for a couple hours!
Aunt Patty reading a new book to Katybear:
Saturday morning we all got up bright and early to go get my grandmother and then head down to New Jersey for my family's Christmas get together. I had talked my family into brunch a couple years ago and it stuck around as a new tradition, brunch is just that awesome :P We got there a little after 10:30 and we all sat down to eat pretty much right away. There were big white flakes of snow coming down as we were singing some Christmas carols too, how festive!
After the food we all dove in to the gift opening! I love how excited the kids get...
aww, who's this handsome gentleman??
umm, never mind :P
and of course we played games! I love games!
And Grammie loves reading to the kids! <3 br="br">3>
The next day we packed up the whole house and headed up to the mountains with our friends Kieth and Ronda. We stayed up there until Tuesday (new years day) with them. Ricky went out with Kieth to help him with his trapping and Ronda and I hung out in the really nice cabin with the kids and played games most of the time. I forgot to take my camera so I only have pictures of our driving portion of the trip...
Super muddy windows on the way home! I take that as a sign of a good vacation when you can't see out the windows :P
Excited to go home:
Ricky in the awesome Beard hat I made him
I made one for Chase too but I ended up chucking it because the only yarn I had brought along to use for the beard was really itchy, and he wouldn't wear it. I'll make him another one if I ever get around to it!

Ricky, how did you get those curls in your beard? It makes you look 10 years older. Now you can buy your own tobacco and don't have to pretend with big league chew anymore.
