The rest of November, 2014

My fall last year was full of crocheting lots of custom items... like this fun Chicken hoodie :)  She wanted it to be like a barred rock chicken:
and these lovely all wool hoods in adult sizes:
I made up my own pattern for wrist warmers because I couldn't find a pattern that I really liked.
I also got a request to make an Ewok hoodie which turned out super cute :)
a minion hat:
New business cards which I love! (Thank you mom for your help on these!)
and I may have started losing my mind a little :P
I was getting a lot of these desperate type messages, on top of the already long list of orders I needed to fulfill!
I'm hoping this year I can say no to things more.  Hopefully.

I DID somehow find the time to spend with family. November is the month that hunting season is in full swing so Ricky was away a lot trying to procure meat for our family.  One long weekend by myself I decided to spend with my family in NJ with the kids.  The girls had a princess sleepover with their cousin Kira and Chase and I stayed at my parents house in their lovely guest room. One of the days we took all the kids to a please touch museum and let them loose in there for a couple hours,

I kept trying to get a picture of one of the kids in the giant bubble but failing :(

Another one of the days we were going to take the kids to the gym at church to ride their bikes and scooters but it was being utilized for soccer so we made a last minute decision to go on a walk at a park nearby.  Well, it ended up being A LOT colder than we thought and the kids were not so happy about it, Oops! :P
Chase had a bunch of hockey things going on in November as well.  He had a skills clinic at the Reading Royals rink with the Army and Navy hockey teams.
I took him to the clinic during the day.
They said we could stay after and watch the Royals players warm up but Chase and I ended up being the only ones to stay!  He was pretty stoked to get a puck from one of the players though and it was neat to watch the "professionals" for a little.
Later that evening Ricky took him back to watch the game.

This year we took Chase deer hunting more and he even went shooting with us one afternoon.
The girls still don't get along most days but sometimes Joanna is feeling kind and then I have to take a picture :P
We butchered our turkeys a couple days before Thanksgiving.  Getting them into the cage by myself was quite interesting...
the butcher was a very busy place!
Next post is about Thanksgiving.
